Spring 2015 Teas & Talks

These will be held at St Nicholas Church, Buxton Road, Weymouth on Monday afternoons from 2.30 pm to 4.00 pm, commencing in February. Doors open at 2 pm when tea and biscuits will be available.

There will be an admission charge of  £1.50 towards the cost of hall hire, which will include tea and a biscuits.

Monday 2nd March Weymouth – 150 Years of Transport Brian L Jackson, Transport historian, author and lecturer
Monday 9th March The Owners of Sutton Poyntz from AD892 to 1925 Bill Egerton, Local historian, Sutton Poyntz Society Chairman
Monday 16th March If Walls Could Talk – Memories of the Park District from 1930 Amy Hopwood, Historian and Project Leader with Tricia Donovan, the Story Teller
Monday 30th March The Portable Antiquities Scheme – or everything you need to know about what to do when you discover that Roman hoard at the bottom of the well! Ciorstaidh Hayward Trevarthan, Finds Liaison Officer (Dorset)
