Open all year seven days a week 10.00am - 4.30pm. Closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and during the last two weeks in January for routine maintenance.
The Museum is located on the first floor of Brewers Quay in Hope Square, Weymouth. Brewers Quay is easily reached on foot from the centre of Weymouth and the sea front. Follow the black and gold finger signs located in the town centre to the Old Harbour and Brewers Quay. From the shopping centre (St. Thomas Street) cross the Town Bridge and turn left down the side of the harbour. After about 200 metres take the second turning on the right which will lead you into Hope Square. The entrance to Brewers Quay is straight ahead. Follow the way through to the Courtyard Restaurant and take the lift to the first floor. On exiting the lift the Museum entrance is on your left.
By Road - Follow the brown and white road signs for Brewers Quay/Timewalk. Parking for 120 cars at rear of complex in the 'Pay & Display' car park. There are also 6 dedicated coach bays for use by pre-booked coaches.
The Museum is accessible by wheelchair. Two wheelchairs are available for loan to visitors to the Brewers Quay complex and an accessible toilet and baby changing room are provided on the ground floor. Drop-off points and dedicated parking for visitors with disabilities are available at the rear of the complex.
Weymouth Museum brings the town's fascinating history to life with themed displays, original artefacts and paintings. Entry is free but a member of staff must accompany school groups. Free coach parking is available at the rear of the complex for pre-booked coaches.
