Weymouth Museum, which is located on the first floor of Brewers Quay, is home to the Borough Collection, which reflects the physical, cultural and economic history of the area.

Gallery One

We’re closed for the winter, which allows our volunteers time to refresh our displays. We re-open on Wednesday 23 March 2016, in time for Easter.

We are happy to arrange for group visits during the winter for 10 to 16 people and is ideal for a Club outing.  Visitors will gain a more intimate knowledge of the various items on display in the galleries being accompanied by the Collection Manager and the Local History Information Officer, mainly illustrating the history of the town and its surroundings.

Visitors will be offered tea or coffee during their visit.  The cost is £2.50 per person. To receive a leaflet please contact friends@weymouthmuseum.org.uk or ring the office on 01305 457982 on a Monday or a Wednesday.

The Weymouth Museum galleries are open Easter to October, on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 10.30 am until 4 pm.

Entry to the Museum is £1 for adults with accompanied children up to 16 years of age admitted free.
