JONATHAN AND REBECCA EDWARDS CHARITY BUNGALOWS, WYKE ROAD

This rather picturesque block of bungalows was built in 1829 and stood in Wyke Road at the corner of Gypsy Lane. They were demolished in 1957, being replaced by four new ones in Rodwell Avenue.

The charity was founded in the Eighteenth century and now consists of 11 almshouses and 12 garages in the parish of Holy Trinity Weymouth.

Weymouth Museum has been supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.

We have also benefitted from the active support of The Friends of Weymouth Museum.
