BOWLEAZE COVEWAY

Bowleaze Coveway offers some superb views of Weymouth Bay and a stop for coffee at the Lookout Café endorses thisopinion. However parking is difficult as this view shows. The No 23 bus on its return journey to the King’s Statue appears hampered by cars heading towards the Cove, a situation not helped by cars parking both sides of the road in a then unrestricted area. Judging by the cars the view probably dates from the early 1960s.

Whilst one dislikes unnecessary parking restrictions, a ban on parking on one side of the road was necessary to allow  freer flow of traffic.

Weymouth Museum has been supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.

We have also benefitted from the active support of The Friends of Weymouth Museum.
